I was born in Fiji, later
moving to Australia. I am energetic, outgoing person, who likes to have fun I have
a great personality (* as others have told me.) My motivation to be a member of
the Learn Dutch Connection is that I would love to speak to my mom and grandmother
in Dutch. You see my mom's background is Dutch (Netherland/Holland) and she speacks
Dutch fluently her mom (* my grandmother)was born in Holland. About 6 months ago
I had asked my mom to teach me Dutch, and w e started off quite well but then suddenly
she had stuff to do place to go, you know work, work, work and more work. So we
barely ever got past the first two lesson before she was interrupted by other important
things. I have always wanted to learn the language because I hear it so often around
the house. I keep on telling myself that it would be great to oneday talk to my mother
in Dutch. Oh! yeah and also even more recently my sister she has just started high
school, and the language she chose to learn was German, know about every third night
I here both of them talking to each other, which has even boosted my motivation to
find out what they are talking about. (*my mom speak German as well.) My knowledge
of Dutch is not that good, I would consider myself a beginner. |
