Comments : My mother was born in Holland and moved to Canada by herself when she was nineteen. Her family still lives in the Netherlands. I have visited my dutch relatives many times in the past, but have only picked up a few key phrases. I am able to understand the language pretty well, and am interested in becoming partailly fluent before visiting in the summer of 2000. I understand the sound of the language and am working on grammar and word knowledge.
