Comments : Hi all, I am trying to learn Dutch and Afrikaans for the fun of it. Workwise, I often have to phone Dutch colleagues, and I would like to surprise them. On a private basis, I met a couple of South Africans in Ireland, and they were surprised how much Afrikaans I under- stood... ;-) Guess I'd like to get to know people from all those countries to exchange things about the language, the culture, the hobbies... Level of Dutch: very difficult to describe, understand a lot, writing: very basic but improving!
