Comments : This year I worked in Groningen for three months. I enjoyed my time and took an interest in learning the language. I was offered a job but felt that my lack of dutch would be a disadvantage (even though all nederlanders seem to speak good english) I have a dutch girlfriend who I would like to be with so hence my motive for learning dutch. I have been learning for three months self taught and one private lesson per week. I can understand a lot but do need practice speaking ! I would love to communicate with anyone who is learning dutch, the more practice the better. Hope to hear from you soon.
