I have studied Dutch online because I am moving soon (probably between September and October) to Holland and there is no course in my city. As I have ever liked to study alone, this way is being ideal, for like so I can control the time for studying and return to that parts I consider more importants. I am a girl with 27 years old. I am graduated in Business Administration since 1995, speak a little English (my boyfriend is English. Is is because of him I am moving to Holland!!! We will live in a town called Haarlem). Also, I speak a little Spanish and French. I studied French for four years, but I have not practiced it lately. The last time I spoke French it was with a korean man in Amazon Forest, in 1996!!! However, I intend to come back to study as soon as possible. I hope, from the bottom of my heart, this course (Learn Dutch) will open me several doors in Holland, and I can employ the knowledges that I have already, and learn more and more with each new day.

You wrote... I work in a museum for the summer. This is my second time writing a message. I have met many Hollanders and have had to use some Dutch. Being born in Canada, learning English at the age of six, with Dutch as my first language, I am finding that I must speak it more. I understand 90%, but can only speak about 30%. Do have any phrases for visitors/travel? The visitors see my nametag and immediately start speaking to me in Dutch. My Dutch is coming back to me, simply by using it more in conversation.
