I was able to learn quite a bit of the language but unable to practice much in Amsterdam. The best choice is to live in a smaller town where most of the residents speak Dutch only. Then you are put into a postion where you must learn and speak the language. When I attempted to speak Dutch in Amsterdam, the choice response from people was in English once they knew I was not a Nederlander. Thanks for the website.
