Doorzaam subsidy – €1500 for intensive Dutch courses (for ’uitzendkrachten’)

Are you an ‘uitzendkracht’ (temporary worker via an employment agency in the Netherlands)?
Then you may be eligible for up to €1,500 to learn Dutch—and boost your career opportunities fast!
We continue to welcome more and more students to our Summer Schools and Winter Schools who use this opportunity to have their intensive Dutch course financed with a Doorzaam subsidy. Learn more about these opportunities in this article.
If you work through an agency in the Netherlands, you know how important it is to understand instructions, communicate clearly, and stay safe on the job. But limited Dutch skills can hold you back from better work, longer assignments, and more stability. The Doorzaam Nederlands Taalbudget is designed to change that!
Turn Your Job into a Real Career Opportunity
Improving your Dutch is one of the fastest ways to stand out as an uitzendkracht. With better language skills, you can:
- Understand instructions faster and work more safely
- Communicate confidently with colleagues and supervisors
- Increase your chances of better shifts and longer contracts
- Feel more at home in your workplace and daily life
This is not just about learning a language—it’s about unlocking opportunities.
What You Get with the Doorzaam Subsidy
You can receive up to €1,500 (excluding VAT) for a Dutch language course, including NT2 courses. Bart de Pau Language Courses is an approved training provider by Doorzaam.
Who Can Apply?
You are eligible if you:
- Work as an uitzendkracht (temporary agency worker)
- Are employed via a Dutch employment agency
- Want to improve your Dutch for work and career growth
- Are motivated to complete the course
Your agency submits the application on your behalf.
Important: Limited Application Windows (2026)
Applications are only possible on specific dates:
- 12 January 2026 (from 09:00)
- 13 April 2026
- 7 September 2026
Funding is limited and works on a first-come, first-served basis. Once the budget is gone, the round closes.
How It Works?
- Talk to your employment agency
- Choose a Dutch language course
- Your agency will contact us for the quote/invoice
- We’ll send the invoice to your agency.
- Your agency will forward the invoice to Doorzaam.
- Doorzaam will pay the invoice to your agency.
- We’ll be ready to welcome you to our programme!
Good to Know if You Are Considering the Dutch Summer School 2026
If you apply in the 13 April round, your course must start between 13 April and 13 July. This does not necessarily mean you can only choose the first and second periods we offer in the summer.
Please note that your course includes an e-learning component: you will get access to our online materials one month prior to the on-site intensive course to prepare. The start date of your e-learning is considered the official course start date for this subsidy. We will indicate this on the invoice.
Don’t Miss This Opportunity
This subsidy is limited, and many workers miss out simply because they wait too long.
If you want more confidence, better communication, and stronger job opportunities in the Netherlands, this is your moment.
Take action now: contact your agency, secure your €1,500 Doorzaam subsidy, and start your Dutch course with Bart de Pau Language Courses.
